How to Get There
Anambas islands location is quite far from some other islands in Indonesia. Therefore, make sure you have enough time. To reach Anambas by air, you have to fly to Tanjung Pinang, the provincial capital on Bintan Island. From Tanjung Pinang, you will fly by plane with varying fares, from IDR 600,000 to IDR 900,000 one way.
From Matak airport, you have to take a speedboat to Tarempa, the capital of the Anambas district. If you don’t want to take a plane, now there are speedboats available.
It takes 6 to 8 hours and ticket prices start from IDR 450,000. If you want cheaper transportation, you can take the Pelni and Perintis Ships. However, it takes dozen hours compared to a speedboat.
